ETCHING
Etching is a form of intaglio printing, where a metal plate is etched in acid, cleaned, inked and printed on paper.
GICLEE
A digital image scanned at a high resolution and printed by an Iris printer onto canvas or paper.
LIMITED EDITION
A specific number of prints, mechanically printed then signed and numbered by the artist.
LINO BLOCK
A relief print made from a block of linoleum of either single or multiple colours.
SERIGRAPH
A stencil process where by ink is squeegied through a prepared nylon screen, depositing the ink on paper, with the ability to accommodate several colours.
LITHOGRAPH
Based on the relationship between oil and water, an image is rendered on a flat clean stone which is treated chemically, made wet, inked and put through a litho press.
WOODCUT
Both the name for a printing process and the resulting print, a relief print made from a block or blocks of wood.
