ABOUT THE GALLERY
Our focus at Webster Galleries is to exhibit quality originals from Canadian artists who are showing both nationally and internationally. We specialize in Inuit art, oils, watercolour, pencil works, stone and ceramic sculpture, bronzes, and hand pulled prints displayed throughout 10,000 square feet of space.
We exhibit a variety of works from our artists throughout the main floor of the gallery on a full time basis. This commitment to showcasing various artists and mediums is highlighted in the Show Gallery upstairs which is always changing. This concept makes every visit to Webster Galleries a new and exciting one.
It also allows John and Lorraine Webster to share their expertise with their customers. Whether you are an experienced collector or a fan who is just beginning your journey as a collector, you will find the information you need.
After 30 years, Webster Galleries is still a family owned and operated business in Calgary. We've seen a lot of changes in that time and made a lot of friends. Our commitment remains the same: To create a space where people can enjoy fine art, learn about what they like and what inspires them and bring that experience into their homes and businesses.
THE WEBSTER GALLERIES FAMILY
John is co-owner of Webster Galleries. He works directly with artists and creates exhibits at the Galleries. John has an extensive knowledge of Inuit art, and all the artists that are represented in the Gallery. He consults with corporations and does all appraisals. John has a great deal of passion for art and is always happy to have people tap into it.
Lorraine is co-owner of Webster Galleries. She makes sure the administrative side of the business is humming along and sets the bar for customer service. Lorraine coordinates facility rentals to ensure you get the experience you want when having an event at the Galleries.
Real Fournier is the Artist in Residence at Webster Galleries and paints in the Show Gallery daily. Linda is part of our creative department, creating advertising layouts, cards and catalogues as well she is a fabulous resource on the artists that we represent.
Candace is our Framing Expert. She has been with Webster Galleries since 1997, helping our customers find the perfect combination of colours, texture and frames to enhance the additions to their fine art collections. She has a great eye and excellent intuition for showcasing that special piece in a frame. Framing a painting is blending the sensibility of the artwork with the objectives of the owner and matching all this to the environment where it will be enjoyed. |
